About this event

Rebalancing Act book

Carol Enneking, author of The ReBalancing Act, will be our guest speaker. She will help kick off our theme of “Staying Engaged” and especially talk about living a well-balanced, active life here in Walden!

Her work explores…
The importance of work-life balance in achieving personal fulfillment.
The impact of societal expectations on individual choices.
Strategies for managing stress and prioritizing self-care.
The role of community support in navigating life transitions.
How we can redefine success on our own terms.
Practical exercises for self-reflection and goal setting.

Carol has appeared on Houston Live, Good Day Austin, Texas Today, and Great Day
Washington, and has served as a guest speaker at UT Austin and Oxford University, to name
just a few. With more than three decades of executive leadership and global consulting
experience across six continents and 150+ organizations, she brings grounded insight, practical
frameworks, and audience-affirming humor to conversations about success that matters. Her
mantra is “lead without losing yourself: Rebalancing ambition, leadership, and legacy - without
burnout.” Whether you work outside the home in a paid job, serve as a non-profit volunteer,
manage your household, or have a daughter or daughter-in-law who is trying to do it all, Carol’s
message will impact us all! She will also bring her book to sell and sign - they make excellent
gifts for friends and family
